We are a registered UK charity with the prime objective of raising money for other charitable causes nominated by our Trustees and participants through annual cycling challenges. There are two events each year; a spring seven day challenge for individuals and an autumn three day challenge for teams of four riding in relay. Entry fees cover event costs so that 100% of what is raised is donated to charity. CAC is run by volunteers and has no paid staff or office overhead. By the end of 2011, over £3 million pounds had been raised for charities and worthy causes.
Latest News - Easter 2012, The 2012 Beaune Challenge has been launched to teams of 4 to ride in relay from Caen to Beaune near Dijon via the Loire valley and Vichy leaving by overnight ferry from Portsmouth on Wednesday 26th September returning Sunday the 30th September. We are also delighted to announce that Polypipe are the main event sponsor for the Beaune Challenge.

The launch and rapid sell out of the 2012 Grand Route des Alpes Challenge for individial cylclists riding over 500 miles in seven days from Geneva to menton on the Mediterranean coast in June raising money for worthy causes.

The Trustees, Chris, Simon and Stuart were proud to invite Peter Dye to become the charity's first honorary Life President. To a standing ovation from the other 327 participants, Peter was presented with an inscribed cut glass tankard at the prize giving in Cahors. Peter, 78 has completed 19 challenges and is an inspiration to everyone who has had anything to do with them.

The Cahors Challenge took place under cloudless blue skies and temperatures in the late 20s. 79 teams and 328 people took part riding in relay from St Malo to Cahors. The morning mists over the Loire made way for the stunning gorges of the Creuse and Lot, the Dordogne and France's premier "site" Rocamador. The finish line was a themed French local market with a very popular beer tent! Thanks again goes to the Property Peddlars who fed and watered the teams at lunch time.

The spring seven day challenge took place in late May taking 45 riders and 4 marshals from Ajaccio in Corsica to Olbia in Sardinia. Spectacular scenery and marvellous weather contributed to a very successful challenge that covered 512 miles and involved well over 13,000 metres of climbing. Day 2's 20 mile climb from the coast at Porto was one of the hardest as was the 20 km climb to Tempio Pausania in Sardinia at the end of the 93 mile sixth day.
